C 4 Going For 2
in a Row
After last weeks problems and C4 and C3
getting barred from Carolina Speedway C4 was on a mission for
back to back wins. C4 made the trip to Hammerdown Speedway in
Red Springs to race his Super Street car for the second week in
a row and with that being said he was there to win.
C4 qualified second only a tenth off the
pole speed but when the green flag flew on the twenty-five lap
feature C4 was in position for another good finish. In the first
half C4 slipped back to third and waited for the right time to
pass. The second place car helped C4 when he got loose out of
four and spun in front of him to cause a caution with less than
ten laps to go.
After that, the teen driver focused on the
lead and nothing else. With five laps to go C4 made the pass for
the lead coming off two and was in the lead by the time they hit
turn four. With a hand full of laps C4 stretched out his lead
and took his second win in his third start in his C4 Super
Street ride.
“This is how you answer back, proving it
on the track. Not by posts on the internet or sending messages
or anything else. I went out there to win tonight and do it with
out any problems what so ever. Also to go to a totally different
track with the same setup and gear and to win is great and
unbelievable. I also want to thank my sponsors and family for
all the help and hard work, and to the fans that support local
dirt track racing in our area,” C4 stated afterwards.
You can catch C4 racing his CRATE late
model this weekend at Fayetteville during the Lucas Oil race and
the following week at Dublin for the Orren Taylor Memorial
$2,000 to win limited late model race.

Three Great
Weeks in South Carolina
Team C4 made two trips to the Carolina
Speedway Lakeview and one to the Sumter speedway. In the
first trip to Carolina Speedway C4 qualified on the outside pole
and was running really strong. With
a few laps to go the carburetor hung up and the night was over
for C4.
The next week C4 made his first trip to
the Sumter Speedway to run a special $1,000 Crate race. C4 was
able to qualify third only three tenths off the pole speed of
Jimmy Blackwell. On the start Terry Caples was able to get ahead
of Jimmy and C4 was right behind. After several laps the top
three were well ahead of fourth and were within five car lengths
of each other.
C4 was able to finish third and was really
happy with that finish being it was his first trip there, but
when he made the trip to the pay window he found out that the 83
of Jimmy Blackwell was light after the race. The six hundred
dollar pay day was great for the rookie late model driver in his
first trip there.
Finally just this past weekend C4 and C3
made a trip to the Carolina Speedway to win in the Super Street
class. In qualifying C4 was able to lay down a lap good enough
for second while C3 had motor problems ending his night early.
Oh what a night it could have been if they both could have raced
together.
At the start C4 almost pulled ahead of the
leader but couldn’t pull it off. C4 then did the only thing
that was smart he followed the leader till the right time to
pass. With three laps to go cautions kept flying then it was
time for c4 to get up on the wheel. On the last restart C4 was
able to stay really close and get a good run on the leader a
couple of times. Then the leader pushed going in to turn one and
C4 put his car in the hole, at the same time the leader just
turned down to cut C4 off and protect the lead. Heavy contact
was made and the leader was able to hold C4 off, they were nose
to tail going through three and four then going into turn one
the leader just drove in to hard and just lost it. C4 then drove
to his first win of 2008 and seventeenth career win.
“The last three weeks have been great
and it can only get better with the win from this past weekend,
I am having fun and running good at the same time” c4 stated.
“I really am looking forward to the next few weeks in prepping
the Crate car for action again.” In the next coming weeks C4
should have some information on where he will be racing and what
car he will be piloting. To keep up with C4 just check back
often or visit his myspace at www.myspace.com/c4racin

Two Top Tens at
Hammerdown
The last two weeks C4 has made the trip to
Hammerdown Speedway in pursuit of seat time in his new late
model. The track is small and very tight but young C4 posted two
top ten runs in both trips there. With a fifth place two weeks
ago and a disappointing ninth this past weekend C4 has shown
great speed and car control at the bullring.
The C4 car has ran great all year for it
being Cameron's first season in late models and epically with C4
running a crate motor. In the coming weeks C4 will be
racing around the area at different tracks trying to get seat
time and learning how to work with his new car. This weekend the
C4 team will be back to the Carolina Speedway with both C4 cars
with C3 driving the SS car.
"After going to a track that I had never
raced at before and running quick within two weeks it makes
me fill good as a driver, it also shows how good that I have
adapted to the different type tracks. The C4 car has been great
and I am learning more and more every race." C4 stated
after wards.

Power Steering Problems Affect
C4
After a seventh place start C4
jumped to fifth place in the opening laps of the Late Model
feature.
With the power steering not
working properly C4 couldn’t hold the Langleys Home
Improvement car down and keep the competition behind him. C4
slipped back to ninth and was only able to get around the 22 car
of Johnny Pridgen . Cameron battled the 25 car of Steven Blanton
lap after lap and almost got by him several times.
“After tonight I think that I
am getting better every week with the track time, without the
power steering it made tonight difficult but sometimes you just
got to make the best of it. With the motor and horsepower that I
have its going to take sometime to get used to driving the 4 bar
over the heavier car from last year.”

New Car, New Track, New Season
April 12th was the first points race
of the season at Carolina Speedway in Lake View, SC. It was also
the first points race opportunity for C4 to get seat time after

Cameron started the C4 machine in

improve my position but it didn't pay off. Sometimes you don't
know till you try. Tonight is all about getting used to
the car and learning it's abilities."
Cameron Norris IV will bring the
